Social Outreach Services (SOS) - Baby Items
Social Outreach Services (SOS) is a parish outreach program to the poor throughout the Fresno area. All year you can donate car seats, diapers, baby clothes, and other baby items by placing your items in or next to the decorated bin at the west end of the lobby. For more information about this ministry, stop by the front office or call 436-3434.
Plastic, metal, glass, paper and cardboard can all be brought and placed in the Food for the Poor bins on the south end of the Cardinal Newman Hall parking lot. Funds generated from recycling efforts help Food for the Poor, a non-denominational organization, feed the "poorest of the poor" and build shelters in Haiti and South/Central America. Emergency funds may also be sent to Catholic Charities for causes such as feeding children and families in ravaged areas. It's a win-win! Be part of this green ministry!
Catholic Charities - Clothing
Have you cleaned out your closet lately? Bring clothing items that you wish to donate to our bin located on the outdoor patio next to the main reception desk. All clothes donations go to Catholic Charities where they are redistributed to those in need in our community.
Food Donations - Bulldog Food Pantry & Catholic Charities
Canned food can be donated through St. Paul Catholic Newman Center any time you're here! Bring non-perishable food items and place them in the bin below the Family Life Ministries bulletin board located at the west end of the lobby. This food is donated to Catholic Charities as well as to The Bulldog Pantry. The Bulldog Pantry is located at 2311 E. Shaw in Fresno and is a student-run pantry distributing groceries to local families Saturday mornings from 9am to 10:30am.
