• What is SoulCore?
SoulCore is a movement that strengthens the body & soul by combining the prayers of the rosary with core strengthening, stretching, and functional movements. SoulCore is a sensory experience that may combine candlelight, aromatherapy, music, and sacred art, providing participants the opportunity to nourish body, mind & soul while contemplating the mysteries and fruits of the rosary.
SoulCore is a movement all its own. It is based on Christian meditation, which is always focused on the life of Jesus Christ. It is about “filling” the mind & soul, specifically with the life, virtues, and Word of Christ. Our Lady’s desire is always to lead us closer to her son Jesus. As a Marian apostolate, SoulCore imitates her in striving to draw others closer to Christ through deeper reflection on His life and virtues in the rosary.
Tai Chi for Health & Arthritis
Tai Chi for Health & Arthritis (currently postponed until further notice)
The Tai Chi for Health & Arthritis Program is designed to improve the quality of life for people using the Sun style of Tai Chi known for its healing components. Tai Chi can improve mobility and balance, muscular strength, coordination, concentration, memory, and vital energy through slow and gentle movements. Class participation promotes community and friendships among its participants and helps to combat loneliness and isolation that sometimes is a concern after retirement. The movements are adapted and do not require deep bending or squatting, which makes it easier and more comfortable to learn. Tai Chi for Health & Arthritis is a component of our holistic health ministry for seniors. Classes are taught by certified instructors led by Mary Ann Villegas.
